Celebrate Varamahalakshmi Pooja Festival: Varalakshmi Puja is an important festival of South Indians, especially this festival is celebrated every year with great pomp and show in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In this puja, Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped, who is the goddess of wealth, prosperity and good fortune. The worship of Varalakshmi is usually celebrated on the first Friday of the full moon day of Shravan month. Which changes every year, but the day remains exactly the same. How To Do Varalakshmi Pooja At Home

Friends, it is very easy, now let me tell you some steps by following which you can also worship Varalakshmi at your home. For which first of all you will have to start with cleanliness in your house. All things in your house will have to be kept clean and organized. And necessary items will have to be brought for puja.
For which you must also know where which goods are available. So that then you do not face any difficulty during the puja. Let us now know what you have to do after waking up in the morning on the day of puja. On the day of puja you have to get up early in the morning. And you will have to make further preparations by cleaning the house thoroughly. The house will also be decorated with colorful rangolis.
1. You woke up early in the morning on the day of puja. Take bath and wear clean clothes. Decorate the puja place (mandap) well. And start the puja by decorating the utensils. Therefore you will have to prepare a special vessel and urn.
2. Keep the idol or picture of Goddess Lakshmi at the place of worship. Keep offering puja materials like flowers, fruits, sweets etc. one by one. And worship Goddess Lakshmi by lighting a lamp in front of her. Chant their mantras.
3. Prepare special puja dishes like puliyodraai (tamarind rice), curd rice, and sweets like kheer or laddu and offer them to Goddess Lakshmi.
4. If you wish, you can also gather collectively and chant the mantras and names of Goddess Lakshmi during the puja rituals. Some people also fast on this day, and show their devotion towards Goddess Lakshmi. They consume only fruits on this day. After the puja is completed, prasad is distributed to neighbors and friends.
